About me
Carter Mochinski is a passionate change maker and a highly involved youth community leader. He is most passionate about making change in reducing inequalities, specifically for those with neurological divergence, differently applied persons and inequalities in climate action, while considering indigenous knowledge and ways of being to “see through two eyes”. “I believe that climate change is not just an environmental issue but also a human rights issue.” Carter also has experience in many levels of politics and council. This November, Carter attended COP30, the UN Climate Change Conference in Bélem, Brazil, where he advocated for youth on the world stage. Carter is a Youth Councillor on the District of Lake Country Council. Carter serves on the 97th BC Youth Parliament as the member for Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream. He is also a member of the SD23 district student council.
