About me
Jen is a Creative Coach at Classmate, where she partners with teachers and school leaders to design engaging, student-centered learning experiences that blend technology, creativity, and curriculum with intention. Her work focuses on project-based and experiential learning through thoughtful tech integration. Before joining Classmate, Jen developed curriculum for a science education program and would plan multiple local field trips each year that were often in spaces without an established educational program. This work shaped her approach to designing inquiry-driven learning that leverages curiosity and student questions rather than pre-packaged lessons. Jen brings this “learning beyond the classroom” mindset into her work today, supporting educators as they design learning experiences both inside and beyond the classroom. Whether it’s co-planning field trips, or long term projects, she emphasizes clarity of purpose, student agency, and reflection, and believes that powerful learning begins when teachers are genuinely excited about what they’re teaching. When educators feel inspired and supported, students are more likely to step into authentic roles as researchers and creators.
