About me
Ryan Ward is honoured to be the vice principal of Black Mountain Elementary School, located on the traditional, unceded territory of the sylix people in the beautiful Okanagan valley. Ryan has served as a teacher, vice principal and principal at a variety of K-12 schools in multiple communities and has also supported district programs. A key aspect of Ryan’s work has been prioritizing student, staff and family relationships and building school cultures that focus on belonging and student engagement. Ryan is the proud father of two teenage daughters, and husband to a middle school teacher. When not at school, you can often find Ryan on the hockey rink or the golf course.
