About me
Cassidy Burke is a grade 12 student who is also our GESS Grad President. This year, Cassidy made it a goal to, “become more confident talking in front of people about my ideas and opinions and not being so insecure about what others will think of it.” In our class, she learned that, “I am loved and valued by the people around me. People listen and care when I speak.” Cassidy believes that “We give people a lot of opportunities to discuss their opinions and thoughts in circle time. We have time to listen to other people’s words and add stuff to a conversation. It's more like one big conversation instead of hearing the teacher's thoughts and opinions. We get to be a part of the learning.”
