About me
Janice Farnley: I am a Grade 1 teacher in Chilliwack with 17 years of teaching experience, including 13 years at Robertson Elementary, an inner-city school. I am passionate about creating a caring and inclusive classroom where every child feels safe, valued, and heard. I work closely with fellow teachers, the teacher-librarian, and educational assistants to create meaningful cross-curricular learning experiences. Together, we explore Canada’s history through an Indigenous lens, helping students build understanding and respect from an early age. My teaching approach is holistic and play-based. I listen carefully to my students and let their needs, interests, and strengths guide my practice each day.
