Having spent 17 years in school-based admin, Jim Laird has most recently served as the principal of École George Elliot Secondary in Lake Country, BC. From 2023-25, GESS was one of eight schools to represent Canada in the recent OECD Schools+ project, an international network and study that dove deeply into innovative pedagogy and how school leaders and teachers collaborate to lead systemic educational transformation.
