About me
Liberty Sanderson is a grade 11 student who really cares about learning and changing the learning experiences for students. In November, Liberty also traveled to Belém, Brazil to present our co-written Student and Youth Climate Manifesto to World Leaders. In some of our conversations, Liberty shared that, “I think that for the first time, we are allowing ourselves to think about who we really are and not what the school system wants us to be.” She also shared that, “It is important to put yourself in vulnerable situations so you can grow from them.” Liberty believes that to thrive, she (and others) needs “Love and to feel valued and heard. I need to feel respected, like what I have to say matters.”
