Michael Magliocchi is a Foods Teacher at Canyon Falls Middle School with a unique dual background as both a career educator and a professional chef. With 16 years of industry experience prior to entering education, Michael translates professional culinary standards into accessible programs for students from Grade 4 through Grade 12. His practice is rooted in the Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies (ADST) framework, prioritizing real-world technical skills, food security, and nutrition. By focusing on the process over the final product, Michael empowers his students to achieve "food autonomy"—the ability to confidently feed themselves and others—while fostering a lifelong love for cooking for its own sake.
