About me
Michelle Dumanski is a primary classroom teacher at Black Mountain School, on the traditional, unceded territory of the syilx people in the Okanagan. She brings over 20 years of experience, including 10 years in early learning, and is guided by a Reggio-inspired, child-centered approach that values wonder, inquiry, and student voice. Michelle believes the environment is the third teacher and extends learning beyond the classroom through meaningful connections with the land. Outside of school, she is a proud mother of three, a wife, and a student of the land who enjoys photographing local naturescapes, reading, and creating art.
